Autoinjector Specifications and Trade-offs
The platform is spring-driven with two-step activation: cap removal, then placement and press until the mechanism fires. Activation force, delivery time and the end-of-injection signal are fixed by the spring and by the container you put in it — so they are stated per program in the controlled specification sheet, not printed here as one headline number that fits nobody. Every parameter below carries the trade-off it costs — smaller is not automatically better.
| Parameter | Value | What the number hides |
|---|---|---|
| Activation | Two-step, spring-driven | Second step exists for needle-shield safety, not mechanics |
| Activation force | Set by spring choice — stated per program in the spec sheet | Lower force narrows the container force window — see trade-off below |
| Container formats | 1.0 mL slender PFS · 2.25 mL PFS · 1.5 mL and 3 mL cartridges | Housing, tray and testing are format-specific |
| Delivery time | Measured on your container and drug — stated per program | Viscosity of your drug moves this — the device delivers the container, not the molecule |
| Needle options | ISO 11608-2 interface; gauge and length per your clinical specification | Needle choice is a clinical decision for your team; we state compatibility, not preference |
| End-of-injection signal | Stated in the controlled spec sheet, with the human-factors evidence behind it | Signals are usability evidence for your human-factors file |
| Needle safety | Passive shield, locks after activation | Shield force interacts with spring output — verified per container, see compatibility |
| Performance standard | ISO 11608-5 — report reference supplied with the order documentation | Ask for the report itself, not the claim — see compliance |
The trigger-force trade-off, spelled out
A low activation force reads as better ergonomics, and for users with limited hand strength it genuinely is. But the spring must still overcome your syringe's break-loose and glide force with margin across the rated temperature range. Reduce the perceived force and you must either strengthen the spring — which raises internal stress and can make activation louder — or accept a narrower range of containers that will work. There is no version of this with no cost attached; any supplier quoting "effortless activation" without a force-chain test for your container is describing marketing, not mechanics.
How to verify us
Request the specification sheet as a controlled document with revision number, and the test report behind any performance line. Numbers that arrive without a report are claims; claims are what this site is built to avoid.
This page does not cover
Dose selection, drug compatibility and stability, and your human-factors submission are outside device supply. Ordering terms start at the MOQ page; pricing at the price tiers page.
