Packaging Customization — Three Levels
Packaging customization has three levels: carton artwork only — no tooling; custom blister or tray — forming tool quoted per design; and full kit assembly — per-unit labour quoted per kit configuration. Minimums for each level are confirmed in writing with the packaging plan. Neutral packaging is available if you register the product under your own brand.
| Level | Tooling | Minimum | Adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carton artwork | None | Confirmed with the packaging plan | Your brand on the box, standard tray inside |
| Custom blister / tray | Forming tool — quoted per design | Confirmed with the packaging plan | Engineered retention for the device, tamper evidence options |
| Full kit assembly | None | Confirmed with the packaging plan | Device + IFU + ancillary items assembled and labelled as one kit |
Neutral packaging for own-brand registration
If your regulatory submission lists your own brand, the packaged product should not carry a supplier name. Neutral packaging — plain cartons and trays, labels to your artwork and your languages — is standard for us, and it is one of the questions worth asking every supplier early, because not all of them will do it.
What kit assembly is for
Where your market expects the patient to open one box and find everything — device, instructions, and any ancillary items your product specifies — kit assembly packs and labels it as one unit under one part number. It is priced as per-unit labour on top of the components; it is not a discount mechanism.
How to verify us
Ask for a packaging proof (dieline + print) before the carton run, and a physical blister or tray sample signed off before the forming tool is cut. Both steps are standard in our timeline.
